The operating QTH of Ulrich N1UL offers a "shack" with a view and good antenna systems.  The high location on Caxambas pass allows great VHF and YHF coverage almost 360 degrees.

Active RX antenna

The Rohde & Schwarz XK2100L is on the right corner of the desk with the Steppir controller on top.  Icom PW-1 and power supplies cannot be seen.  The repeater cabinet that houses the 146.985 and 443.650 repeaters is also out of site.  The box under the phone is an atomic time base connected to some radios for absolute accuracy.
